UCF Remains No. 1 Ranked Red Zone Defense
UCF Knight’s defense continues to impress as one of the top defenses in the nation. After the first 5 games of the 2022 season, the 4-1 Knights are currently ranked in the Top 25 in 10 different defensive categories & in the Top 45 in 2 others.
Here are the categories that the Knights defense rank in the Top 50 nationally and how they compare to other top programs as well as their in-state rivals.
1st in Red Zone Defense – In 19 attempts, UCF has only allowed 9 scores 47.4%. 3 rushing TD’s, 1 passing TD; 5 FG’s.; Miami 22nd(tied), USF 31st, UF 38th(tied)

6th(tied) in Blocked Punts – In 26 punt attempts, UCF has 2 blocks & both have been returned for TD’s.
